National Summer Games

In 2022, St.Gallen hosted the National Summer Games from 16 to 19 June. Over the course of the four-day event, athletes with disabilities competed to win medals and achieve personal bests across 14 disciplines. The atmosphere was electric, with the enthusiasm of the participants and the support of their families and friends turning the event into an unforgettable experience.
The National Games are more than just a sports event: they promote team spirit and boost the participants’ self-esteem. They are the largest sporting event for people with intellectual disabilities in Switzerland and take place every two years, with around 1,800 participants in summer and around 600 in winter.
