The «IT rockt!» initiative is a collaboration between ICT companies, educational institutions, network partners and the public sector – the St.GallenBodenseeArea (SGBA). One of its aims is to further strengthen Eastern Switzerland’s profile and positioning as a location for ICT companies. Its focus areas are the recruitment of specialists in the ICT sector, the creation of a needs-based and future-oriented training programme, and the promotion of networking between companies and employees. The cantonal IT education campaign promotes the area as an IT hub benefiting business and the local population alike.
ICT companies based in the region include Abacus Research AG, the Swiss market leader in ERP software; Frontify, a leading provider of brand management software; and LC Systems, an international company specialising in data engineering, data security and data analytics. There is also a wide range of ICT training and further education programmes available in the area.
