The Congress & Events Working Group brings together strong partners to enable first-class events in St. Gallen.

The Congress & Events Working Group aims to further develop St. Gallen as a leading congress and event destination and to continue strengthening its position.

Through close collaboration among local stakeholders, coordinated support instruments, and targeted action planning, synergies are leveraged and a unified strategy is pursued.

Key objectives include the promotion and growth of congresses—particularly from the DACH region—as well as the development of high value-added events within defined economic clusters. In addition, the initiative seeks to improve hotel occupancy rates, strengthen the St. Gallen exhibition venue nationally and internationally, and position the city as a leading business destination in Eastern Switzerland.

The initiative also supports Seminarland Eastern Switzerland and actively monitors developments in the congress market to further establish St. Gallen’s reputation as a safe and highly competent congress destination.
