Säntis – the mountain

The cable car comfortably takes you up to 2,502 metres above sea level, where you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of six countries. Whether you're strolling across the viewing platforms, exploring the exciting adventure worlds, or enjoying a delicious meal in the restaurant, the Säntis offers a unique experience all year around.
From St.Gallen railway station, it takes around an hour to reach the valley station of the Säntis cable car. Take the train S81 to Herisau first, then change to the S23 to Urnäsch. From there, the B791 bus will take you directly to the station Schwägalp, Säntis-Schwebebahn.

Chocolarium

At Chocolarium, the world of Munz and Minor's chocolate, everything revolves around the sweetest temptation in eastern Switzerland. On an interactive tour, you will learn how chocolate is made and how it makes us happy. You can snack on chocolate straight from the fountain, take part in exciting workshops or design your own bar at the end of the tour. The shop also offers a wide range of freshly made chocolate straight from the factory – the perfect souvenir for anyone with a sweet tooth.
The Chocolarium is about half an hour from St.Gallen railway station. Take the train IR13 to Flawil, then change to the B741 bus, which stops directly outside the Flawil Maestrani factory.

The Appenzeller Schaukäserei is just a 15-minute journey from St.Gallen railway station. Take the B180 bus to Stein, Dorf.

From St.Gallen railway station, it takes around 30 minutes to reach the port of Rorschach. Take the B242 bus to the stop Signalstrasse, Rorschach. Alternatively, take the train IR13 to Rorschach and change to the S7 there, which will take you directly to Rorschach Port. The Rorschach zones are included in the Mobility Ticket.

UNESCO World Cultural Heritage

A St.Gallen «must see»: the Abbey District of St.Gallen has been a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site since 1983. The magnificent baroque cathedral, with its two prominent towers, has come to symbolise the city of St.Gallen. The Abbey Library of St.Gallen, which is located inside the Abbey Precinct, is also an unmissable attraction. It is one of the world’s oldest and largest monastery libraries.
